Sampson Boat Co. and the Launch of Tally Ho

I have followed this channel since early lockdown and in that time many amazing changes have occurred in my life. My comment to Leo's youtube channel after watching this video, with a few tears at the epic accomplishment. The Sampson Boat Co. is a popular YouTube channel with over 493K subscribers and 193 videos. The channel is dedicated to the mission of rebuilding a 1910 English sailing yacht named Tally Ho.

Tally Ho, designed by Albert Strange in 1909, is a well-known and important historic vessel. After many adventures, she was left to rot for decades in a remote port in Oregon. Despite some valiant attempts to rescue her, it was the Sampson Boat Co. that finally bought her and moved her to the Olympic Peninsula.

The channel documents the journey of restoring Tally Ho from the keel up. It provides a great place to learn traditional boatbuilding. The channel's content ranges from the lofting process to crafting double-sawn frames by hand. The channel's mission is not just to restore Tally Ho, but eventually to sail her back to the UK.
